After McKay left in 1982 and Drew departed in 1986, Tony Newman joined as drummer. The band kept recording through the 1980s, putting out albums like 'Heart of Stone' and 'Into the Night.'
Their music was known for melodic rock ballads, with Read's vocals and Dawson's guitar work being central to their sound. They released several albums through the decade before their activity slowed in the early 1990s.
