Knnovation is an R&B trio that formed while its members were students at Berklee College of Music. The group consists of Raymond "Ray" Darius on vocals, Eric "EJ" Johnson on drums, and Timothy "Timbo" Williams on bass. They released their debut single "Do I Deserve It" in 2015.
Following that initial release, the band put out two albums: "Genesis" in 2017 and "Renaissance" in 2020. Their music incorporates elements of pop and jazz alongside their R&B foundation. In 2018, they faced plagiarism allegations regarding their song "Unbreakable," which the band denied.
