Kolisão formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1994, led by vocalist Paulo Ricardo. Their debut album 'Samba POP Rock' included the song 'Flávia,' which became their most recognizable track. The original lineup featured Paulo Ricardo on vocals, Juninho on bass, Beto on guitar, and Canisso on drums.
Over time, the band saw several lineup changes, with keyboardist Ciro Netto joining in 1999 and bassist Xande replacing Juninho in 2006. They released eight studio albums, including 'Aquilo Que Não Mata' and 'Vai e Vem.' Other songs like 'O Que Eu Não Sou' and 'Quimera Coincidência' appear in their catalog.
Their music mixed Brazilian rhythms with pop and rock elements. The band faced public controversies, including accusations of plagiarism and sexual misconduct that Paulo Ricardo denied. They continued performing, releasing an acoustic album in 2019.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
