stehn die Segel auf Sturm, und das Ich ist gebläht,
und dann krall ich mich fest am Geschehen,

Und dann weiß ich, warum und für wen.

das Werden hat längst resigniert.
In diesem Menschheitsgedränge
ist so wenig Neues passiert.
Nur manchmal trifft uns ein Ahnen,
von außen, ganz anderswoher.
Umsonst! Den uralten Bahnen
zu trotzen wäre zu schwer.
