Korzus formed in São Paulo in the early 1980s, with guitarist Silvio Golfetti leading the group. They played thrash metal when the genre was still unfamiliar in Brazil, which made things difficult at first. Their debut album 'Sonho Maníaco' came out in 1985, followed by 'Mass Illusion' in 1988.
In 1989, the song 'Correria' caused some trouble with its lyrics and aggressive style. People accused the band of promoting violence, but Korzus kept going. They released 'Sons of Hades' in 1995 and later put out a concept album called 'Agenda Oculta' in 2008.
Other songs like 'Truth' and 'Discipline Of Hate' show what they were doing over time. The lineup changed occasionally, but they stayed active in São Paulo's metal scene.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
