Krawallbrüder

Krawallbrüder formed in Germany in the late 1990s, with guitarist and vocalist Thomas Pauer, bassist and vocalist Robert Reichmann, and drummer Jens Hilgers. Their name translates to 'Brothers of Riot,' which gives you a sense of where they were coming from. They put out seven studio albums over about a decade, mixing punk, ska, and hip-hop into a sound that was loud and direct.

Their 1999 song 'Die Fäuste Hoch' became a breakthrough hit. It's a fist-in-the-air anthem that got attention for its defiant tone. Other tracks like 'Auf Uns...' and 'Blut für Blut' carried that same energy.

The band called it quits in 2009. For a period in the early 2000s, with albums like their self-titled 2001 release and 2004's 'Gegen den Strom,' they were a noticeable presence in German rock, especially for listeners drawn to music with a protest edge.
