Archive material and source history
Kroz formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s, with brothers Leandro and Lucas Rezende joined by friends Rodrigo Santos and Rodrigo Nogueira. They started playing rock with pop elements, and in 2003 put out their first single "Não Basta Sonhar." That song caught on quickly in Brazil, becoming something of an anthem for listeners who connected with its hopeful message.
Their debut album, also called "Kroz," came out that same year. They followed it with records like "Onde Você Mora Agora?" in 2005 and "Longe de Casa" in 2009. Later songs like "Estou Bem" and "Simples e Sofisticada" kept their sound in rotation. The band released "Infinito" in 2019.
In 2005, Kroz faced some public scrutiny after an incident at a concert led to accusations of misconduct.
