Krug

Krug formed in 2010 around brothers Vitor and Humberto Kundert in Santa Cruz do Sul, a small town in southern Brazil. They started playing local bars and events, working with acoustic guitars and vocals that felt direct and unadorned. In 2013 they put out their first album, 'Antes de Dormir.'

The title track from that album, 'Penso Antes de Dormir,' connected with listeners in Brazil and became one of the country's most streamed songs. Its plain-spoken lyrics about unreturned feelings and a simple, melancholy melody gave the band a wider audience and led to tours in South America and Europe.

Later material like 'Não Quero Mais' dealt more openly with betrayal and infidelity, which stirred some debate. The band's music often drew from personal experiences, including the loss of a friend and the end of a relationship, giving their songs an introspective, sometimes raw quality.
