The name came from combining their initials with a reference to 'el pez añil,' a mythical iridescent fish. Larregui was already known from his work with the alternative rock band Zoé.
Their 2019 single 'Pon'te Pa' Mi' became a breakout track, a dance anthem that gained international attention. They've released albums including 'L-C3ZANT' in 2017, 'Eclipse' in 2018, and 'Huéspedes' in 2020.
In 2021, they collaborated with Mexican rapper Santa Fe Klan on the song 'Tu Comida,' which drew some criticism. They defended the collaboration as reflecting realities in marginalized communities.
