In 2006, they released 'Culebra Work Malicious,' which became their most talked-about record. The title track, along with songs like 'Destroyers Of The False Hope' and 'Torture - Blood - Death,' drew strong reactions for its confrontational lyrics and sound. While the lineup shifted over time, with drummers and keyboardists coming and going, Culebra stayed at the center. They occasionally worked with other industrial acts, but mostly kept to their own abrasive lane.

Their music never really softened. Tracks like 'Gods Of The Well' and 'Legions Of Beelzebub' kept up the harsh, experimental style that defined those early albums.
