They came from Sinaloa and worked in the narcocorrido style, which tells stories about drug trafficking and violence. Their 2004 album 'Acábame De Matar' gave them a song that became widely known.
Their lyrics often drew scrutiny for how they portrayed the criminal world. In 2008, Mario Quintero Lara was arrested and served prison time until 2013. The band recorded a live album from prison in 2006 called 'En Vivo Desde El Penal Federal.'
