La Citrola DeSKApotable formed in Madrid in 2003, with vocalist Alexis de la Cruz at the front. Their debut album 'Racismo es Odio' came out in 2007, and they followed it with 'Respeto' not long after. The title track from that second album became one of their most recognized songs.
Their sound mixed ska with rock and flamenco, and later recordings brought in touches of reggae and hip-hop. They put out albums like '10 Años de Respeto' in 2017 and 'Somos la Revolución' in 2020. The band's lineup included guitarist Mario García, bassist Jorge Sánchez, and drummer Andrés Fernández alongside de la Cruz.
