La Duda

La Duda is a Spanish duo made up of David Ruiz on lead vocals and guitar, with Jorge González handling backing vocals and bass. They put out their first album, Me Gusta Mi Vida, in 2019, which included the track of the same name featuring Yeras Bretado. That song, along with others like Andar Conmigo and Mi Morenita, helped define their approach, which leans on Spanish pop structures with some folk touches.

Their 2021 album Flores Místicas took a more inward turn, and they followed it with Camino del Silencio in 2023. The work tends to circle around familiar themes of love and personal reflection, delivered through Ruiz's vocals over straightforward arrangements. While their catalog isn't large, it has maintained a consistent sound since that initial release.

Some listeners took issue with the portrayal of lifestyle in Me Gusta Mi Vida, though the duo hasn't dwelled publicly on that reaction. They've kept recording and occasionally collaborating, as on El Llamado with Fernando Ventura, without dramatically shifting their musical ground.
