Laberinto Elc came out of Elche in southeastern Spain in the late 1980s. Their self-titled debut album arrived in 1989, and it included the song 'Y Son Muchos Años Ya,' which became something of a signature piece for them.
The band's sound mixed flamenco with rock and punk elements, which drew attention but also some criticism from traditionalists. Their lyrics often dealt with social and political themes, which occasionally led to censorship issues.
After that first album, they put out records like 'El Tiempo de los Asesinos' in 1991, 'Trece' in 1993, 'Juntos' in 2001, and 'A Pelo y a Boca' in 2015. The original lineup featured Pascual Segura on vocals and guitar, Juanjo Valdivia on guitar, Manolo Aguilar on bass, and Francisco Vílchez on drums. Over time, Segura became the only constant member.
