Lado Moral

Lado Moral formed in Porto Alegre in 1991, with Rodrigo "Digão" Carmona as frontman. Their debut album came out in 1995, followed by records like "Microfonia" and "Antena." The band's songs often deal with personal and social themes, with tracks like "Efeito Laranja" and "De Quem É o Poder?" showing their range from melodic rock to more pointed commentary.

Their 2001 song "Antes de Você" became particularly well-known, a ballad that connected with listeners. Carmona's lyrics have sometimes drawn criticism for addressing social issues directly, but the band has generally kept making music on their own terms.

Over time, the lineup has included musicians like Rafael Zanini on bass and Adalberto Ranzani on drums. They've worked with other Brazilian artists, though the focus has usually stayed on their own material rather than high-profile collaborations.

Songs like "Tudo Que Guardo Dentro de Mim" and "Ausência de você" reflect the band's tendency toward introspective writing, while maintaining a straightforward rock sound that avoids overproduction.
