Lado Trilho formed in 2003 with three members: Pedro "Pedrinho" Sallas on guitar and vocals, Rodrigo "Digão" Netto on bass, and Danilo "Dani" Andrade on drums. Their first album came out the following year, simply titled "Lado Trilho." They've put out five studio albums in total, including "Assim Caminha a Humanidade" in 2007 and "A Dança do Tempo" in 2014.
Their song "Nada Cai do Céu" became something of an anthem, its title translating to "Nothing Falls from the Sky." The track's straightforward message about hard work connected with listeners, though some found its tone a bit stark. Another song, "Você É Capaz," carries a similar motivational thread.
The band's sound pulls from rock, reggae, and samba, with Pedrinho Sallas writing most of the lyrics. They recorded a live album at Rio's Circo Voador in 2018. Their shows tend to be high-energy affairs, built around that mix of driving rhythms and plainspoken words.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
