Lady Silver

Lady Silver formed in Los Angeles in the early 2000s around singer Anya Petrova and guitarist Ethan James. They were later joined by bassist Daniel Carter and drummer Marcus Lee. Their debut single 'Want You For Myself' became their breakthrough track, driven by Petrova's vocals and the band's straightforward rock energy.

That song anchored their first album 'Unleashed,' which found an audience without the dramatic chart-topping claims sometimes attached to it. The band maintained a steady presence for a while, playing shows that leaned into a direct, unpolished sound rather than aiming for arena spectacle.

Petrova's writing often dealt with personal territory, and the band's live approach could be confrontational, which drew some criticism alongside their fans. They didn't really fit the mold of polished mainstream rock acts of that period, which worked in their favor with their core listeners. After 'Unleashed,' their output became less consistent, and they gradually receded from regular touring and recording.
