Que quatro vezes quatro é dezesseis
Aprendi numa antiga Tabuada.
Nela eu vi que os noves fora nada
Faz a prova de dez mais vinte e seis.
Pra saber a leitura em português
Foi a velha Cartilha adequada.
Era por toda parte adotada,
Desde os tempos que ainda havia reis.
Nesta era em que avançam a ciência
E a tecnologia é de ponta
Uma contradição ficou global.
Se este tempo é da eficiência
Muita gente só sabe fazer conta
