Lagaf' was an Algerian band that formed in the early 2000s with Ahmed Haroun and Mustapha 'Titi' Boularas on vocals and guitar, Nabil Merabet on bass, and Rabah Senane on drums. Their breakthrough came with the 2004 album 'El Boutoula,' which included the song 'La Zoubida.' That track became something of a phenomenon across Algeria and other parts of the Arab world.
Their lyrics sometimes drew criticism for being unorthodox or suggestive. The band defended their work as reflecting aspects of Algerian society. They released a third studio album, 'Hawla,' in 2008, and a live recording from a performance in France in 2010.
