Lagoinha Niterói is a contemporary Christian music band that came out of the Lagoinha Church in Niterói, Brazil. They started in 1996. Their first album, 'Por Toda Parte,' came out in 2000 and found an audience in Brazilian Christian circles.
In 2004, they released 'Muralhas Vem Ao Chão,' a Portuguese version of the Planetshakers song 'Walls.' That track became their breakthrough, reaching listeners well beyond their initial community. They've put out more than twenty albums since, including 'Jesus É o Caminho' and 'Sangue Novo.'
The group's lineup has included Leonardo Gonçalves on lead vocals, along with Eli Soares, Danillo Fernandez, André Valadão, Guilherme Fares, and Samuel Messias. Their music mixes contemporary worship with pop and rock, built around lyrics focused on faith.
