Lag's

Lag's formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2004 with Thiago Martins, Bruno Melo, Fred Mendes, and Flavio Altoé. The name comes from the Portuguese word for tears, which gives you some idea of the emotional territory they work in.

Their song "Estaçōes" became something of an anthem for them, a track about navigating life's seasons that resonated with listeners looking for something more introspective than typical pop fare. They've released several albums since 2007, including "Estaçōes," "Mais de um Homem, Menos que um Santo," and "Campo Minado."

Thiago Martins handles lead vocals and guitar, and the lineup has stayed consistent since the beginning. They've built their following gradually, without much flash or commercial push, just through the music itself.
