Lah Familyah was a Brazilian pop band formed in the 1990s by brothers Alexandre Carlo and Bruno Carlo along with their cousins Rafael Malencar and Sérgio Malencar. They started playing together in Salvador, where they developed a sound that mixed pop with samba and MPB influences. Their vocal harmonies became a recognizable feature of their music.
Their 1997 album 'Dois Amores' gave them their biggest hit with the title track, a song about love and longing that connected with Brazilian listeners. Another song from that period, 'Ela Foi Embora,' also found an audience. They released several albums through the late 1990s and early 2000s, including 'Tão Perto' in 1999 and 'Amor Maior' in 2002, before putting out a live album in 2004.
