Laionmen

Laionmen formed in Paris around 2015 with Simon Emonin on vocals, Victor Dubois on guitar, Guillaume Desbois on bass, and Vincent Gauthier on drums. They started playing shows locally, working out a sound that mixed rock with some electronic touches. Their single 'Marimoon' from 2017 got some attention online, which helped them reach more listeners beyond their hometown scene.

After 'Marimoon', they put out albums called 'Cartharsis' in 2019 and 'Aether' in 2022. These records kept experimenting with different textures, sometimes leaning into heavier guitar work or more atmospheric sounds. Not everyone agreed on what they were doing, but they built a following of people who liked that they didn't stick to one style.

Their songs include tracks like 'A Garota do Busão' and 'A Namorada da Minha Vida', which show their range from more straightforward rock to moodier, layered pieces. The four original members stayed together through these releases, with Emonin's voice and Dubois's guitar lines often defining the sound.
