Laís Xavier is a Brazilian singer-songwriter from São Paulo. Her music draws from MPB traditions, with influences like Elis Regina and Chico Buarque shaping her approach. She released her debut album 'Flor de Cactus' in 2016.
Her song 'Amor Sem Juros' became particularly well-known, though it was involved in plagiarism allegations in 2018 that she denied. Other tracks like 'Farol' and 'Maré Vermelha' appear in her catalog alongside that one.
She's worked with musicians including guitarist Thiago Espirito Santo, bassist Felipe Continentino, and drummer Dudu Trentin. Her later albums include 'O Amor Que Move o Sol' from 2018 and 'Tão Natural' from 2020.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
