Lalothing

Lalothing was a band from Mexico City that worked with corridos, the traditional Mexican ballad form. Their songs often took inspiration from pop culture, like the anime series My Hero Academia, which led to their 2016 track "El Corrido de All Might." That song became their most recognizable work.

They also recorded corridos about other fictional characters and internet phenomena, with titles like "El Corrido De Evil Luzu" and "El Corrido De Karmaland." The band's approach was to apply the corrido's narrative style to modern, sometimes unexpected subjects.

Their lineup included Lalo Mora on vocals, Sergio González on guitar, and Miguel Sánchez on accordion and percussion. They played locally in bars and festivals before gaining wider attention online. Some traditionalists criticized their fusion of corrido with other elements, but the group continued with their own style.
