Land of Lemuria is a progressive rock band formed around the core duo of Michael Padilla and Sarah Padilla. Michael handles lead vocals, guitar, and most of the songwriting, while Sarah contributes vocals and keyboards. They're joined by bassist Matthew Harvey and drummer James Anderson. Their debut album, 'Anathema', came out in 2011 and gave the band its first real attention with the title track.
They followed that with 'The Burning' in 2014, which leaned into more experimental territory, and 'Elysium' in 2016, which brought back a stronger melodic focus. Songs like 'White Roses' and 'Acheron' from their catalog show their taste for layered arrangements and atmospheric moods. In 2018 they released 'As Daylight Breaks', an album that dealt with themes of loss and redemption.
