L.A.O.S. came out of Los Angeles in the early 2000s. Their song 'Back No More' got some attention with its guitar riffs. The band's name stands for Lyrical Anarchy on Stereo.
They put out a debut album called 'From the Ashes,' followed by 'Unleashed' and 'Awakening.' The original lineup had Derek Johnson on vocals and guitar, Robert 'Bubba' Rhoades on bass, and Justin Ellis on drums. Later, guitarists Zach Anderson and Matt Karloff joined.
At one point, there were accusations that some of their material sounded too much like other artists' work. Johnson also dealt with substance abuse and mental health issues, which affected the band's activity. They kept playing and recording, but less frequently.
