Lapko

Lapko formed as a Polish electro-pop trio in Łódź during the mid-2000s, with Paweł Sołoducha, Karol Radziszewski, and Piotr Zalewski making up the original lineup. Their 2008 single 'All The Best Girls' became a significant hit in Poland, giving the band their first taste of widespread attention.

Their debut album, also titled 'All the Best Girls,' arrived around that same period, followed by later releases like 'The Incomplete' and 'The End of the World.' Over time, their music incorporated more synthpop and alternative rock textures, and their writing turned toward more personal themes. Songs like 'Teacher Pain' and 'Date With Time' reflect that shift toward a somewhat darker, more introspective tone.

Lapko's straightforward approach to lyrics about identity and social issues occasionally drew criticism from those who found their work too commercial or provocative. They maintained a steady presence through touring and releases, though the original trio lineup did not remain intact indefinitely.
