Lari White

Lari White was born Laura Lee White in Dunnellon, Florida in 1965. She grew up hearing country, gospel, and soul music at home, which shaped her approach to singing and writing. Her debut album came out in 1994, and it included the song 'When It Rains,' a ballad that connected with listeners and became her best-known track.

She recorded five studio albums, including 'Wishes' in 1996 and 'Don't Fence Me In' in 1998. White worked with other Nashville artists like Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton. In 2002, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, but she kept performing and recording despite the health challenges.

White married musician Chuck Cannon in 1993, and they divorced in 2002. She later was with writer and photographer Mark Howard. She died in 2018. Songs like 'Ain't Gonna Worry About Love No More' and 'Always And Forever' show her straightforward, soul-touched country style.
