Larusso formed in São Paulo in 1994 around Bruno Pierri on vocals and Adriano Daga on guitar. Their debut album 'Tente Outra Vez' came out the next year, and its title track became a hit in Brazil. That song, 'Tente Outra Vez... Falhe Outra Vez...', had a plain-spoken resilience that connected with listeners.
They followed with albums like 'Sinais' in 1998 and 'Divã' in 2000, working in rock and pop alongside Brazilian rhythms. Other songs like 'Bouge de ma vie' and 'Entre Nous' showed their range. The band's lyrics and performances sometimes drew criticism, and in 1997 they dealt with a legal dispute over song rights that led to a break.
After that, they returned with records including 'Sem Tempo' in 2003. The lineup included Marcelo Gonçalves on bass and Marcelo Yuval on drums alongside Pierri and Daga. Larusso's music, from the early hit to later tracks like 'Come back to me', kept a direct, melodic feel that held an audience in Brazil.
