If you want to hear where they landed after those early shifts, Sunday Night and Honolulu are good places to start. They feel like the band figuring out their own space.
They came out of Brisbane in 2007 with a self-titled debut that had a track called Zoom getting some Australian attention. Their second album Wellness went more experimental, and later songs like Sunday Night and Zero show a band that keeps moving. The keyboardist Dan Koyama left in 2016 after misconduct accusations, which adds a real-world shadow to their story.
They formed in Brisbane in 2007 with Sean Caskey on vocals, his brother Lachlan on drums, Michael Sloane on bass, and Dan Koyama on keyboards. The debut came in 2010, then Wellness in 2012 with a different feel that took some getting used to.
