wish i were in genoa city

there's so much there to do

i paint my name on a freeway bridge

to be a part of something new

i've been this way for half my life

somewhere inside

I've got big plans and dreams there's

little seams i've left unsewn

i ran away with sal and dean but it was just a book

i never touched the road

i guess you just couldn't see this

through someone else's eyes

Sometimes i feel the butterflies

wishin to see some different skies

sometimes i'm better off alone

sometimes i think i'm really wise

planting truth among the lies

you and i know that none of this is written in stone

i know we were loud last night

your broom shook our floor somehow

i know we got a drinking problem

just don't wanna solve it right now

better of unsung than giving up being young

I know your words were impressive

if i just listened to what you said

and all the critics were so agressive

i considered the conversation dead

excuse me please your highness

i have a disease called shyness

sometimes i feel the butterflies

wishin to see some different skies

sometimes i'm better off alone

at times i think you're really wise

difference of truth among the lies

you and i know that none of this is written in stone

just turn the music up real loud and

yell at each other from across the room

just pretend you can understand me

we'll pretend not to hear the truth

is there no method in the madness of our youth?
