Lau Garbo formed in Stockholm in 2014 when four music school students came together. Their debut single "Be Myself" arrived in 2016 and found an audience. The band includes Linn Nyström and Linn Andersson on vocals and guitar, with David Sundqvist on drums and Daniel Öhman on bass.
They released their first EP "Dear Sister" in 2017, followed by the album "Dream Child" the next year. Two more albums came later: "Willow" in 2020 and "Plastic Heart" in 2022. Their sound has shifted from the indie pop of their early work toward something less straightforward.
Some listeners responded to the band's approach to identity and expression. Their music connected with people who appreciated that directness.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
