Lavih formed in Monterrey, Mexico around 2015, starting with childhood friends Alexis de la Garza and César Lozano, who later added bassist Edgar Garza. They played local venues while developing their sound, which eventually caught attention with the 2017 single 'Expectativas.' That song became their breakout, though it also brought accusations of plagiarism from critics who claimed its melody resembled another band's work. Lavih denied those allegations.
After 'Expectativas,' they put out more singles like 'No Soy Una Canción' and 'Perro,' and released an album in 2018. Other tracks in their catalog include 'Caminho' and 'Livre.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
