Lê Almeida is a singer-songwriter from Uberlândia, Brazil, born in 1963. Her father played guitar and her mother sang, which gave her an early connection to music. She listened to Brazilian artists like Milton Nascimento, Caetano Veloso, and Chico Buarque growing up.
Her first album was 1988's "Despertar." In the 1990s, she worked with vocalist Tânia Maria and composer Chico Pinheiro in a group called Trio Ternura, which released an album under that name in 1994. She put out a self-titled record in 1999 and another called "O Amor É um Gosto" in 2005.
One of her songs is "Canção Pro Beto Guedes," a tribute to the singer-songwriter Beto Guedes that came out in 2011. Other tracks include "22 Anos," "Ambulatório," and "Amer." She has recorded with musicians like drummer Kiko Freitas and keyboardist Guto Goffi.
