Le Groupe Swing formed in Paris in 1994, with Joël Favreau on guitar, Luc Alban handling vocals and guitar, Patrick Saussois on bass, and Jérôme Bourdellon on drums. Their first album, 'Swing Folie,' came out in 1997, followed by 'Café Crème' in 2000. They worked in a swing and jazz style that felt both traditional and contemporary.
In 2002, they released the album 'Le Temps S'arrête,' which included the title track that became their most recognizable song. That same year, Luc Alban left the group. Emmanuel Pi Djob joined as the new vocalist in 2006, and the band kept recording and touring. They've put out eight studio albums in total, including 'Danser Encore,' 'Sans Toi,' and 'Renaissance' in 2018.
Other songs like 'C Okay' and 'La Folie' also appear in their catalog. The group's sound has remained rooted in that swinging, melodic approach they established early on.
