Le June formed in London in the late 2000s with Ella Faye on vocals, David Pollock on synthesizers, and Jamie Randall on drums. Their debut EP 'Two Different Minds' came out in 2012, featuring the track of the same name with Ella Faye. That song got some attention and helped establish their sound, which mixed ambient textures with Faye's vocals.
They put out the album 'Moments' in 2014 and later worked with artists like Odesza and Baths. In 2016, the band took a break after allegations of misconduct surfaced against one member. They returned with the album 'Empathy' in 2018 and released 'The World Is Ours' in 2021.
