Le Palhano formed in the early 2000s when childhood friends Vinícius de Oliveira, Michel Longhi, and Beto Bruno started playing together in Jundiaí, São Paulo. They began as Palhano Local, performing at local festivals before eventually shortening their name. Their debut album "Palhano Local" came out in 2009, featuring acoustic-oriented songs like "Destino" and "Lá Fora."
Over the next decade, they released several more albums including "Olha o Sol" in 2013, "Aquilo Que Não Dizi" in 2016, and "Ópera de Rua" in 2019. Their sound incorporated elements from Brazilian traditions like samba and bossa nova alongside pop and rock influences.
Their song "Like You" became particularly well-known, along with tracks like "Princess," "What I'm Gonna do," and "You And Me." The trio maintained their lineup throughout, with Vinícius de Oliveira handling vocals and guitar, Michel Longhi on bass and backing vocals, and Beto Bruno on drums.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
