Le Roi Soleil formed in 1999 with six musicians: Emmanuel Moire, Christophe Maé, Victoria Petrosillo, Anne-Laure Girbal, Lionel Capitano, and Patrick Fiori. They released their self-titled debut album the following year. Their song 'Tant Qu'on Rêve Encore' became particularly well-known.
Their sound mixed pop, rock, and classical elements, which some critics initially questioned. The band put out more albums like 'De l'Air' in 2004 and 'L'Opéra Rock' in 2006. Other tracks like 'Alors d'accord' and 'Mon Essentiel' are part of their catalog.
Emmanuel Moire handled much of the vocals and lyrics, while Christophe Maé brought a noticeable energy to their live shows. Victoria Petrosillo's voice added a lighter quality, and Anne-Laure Girbal played guitar.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
