Leandro e Bruno are a Brazilian sertanejo duo from Goianésia, Goiás. Leandro de Lima Ferreira and Bruno Soares de Oliveira started performing together in 1998, playing local events around their hometown. Their first album came out in 2000, called 'Eu Fui o Bobo,' and the title track got some attention.
A year later they released 'Amanhã Eu Vou Casar,' which became a wedding favorite in Brazil. The song gave them a wider audience and helped define their early sound. They kept recording through the 2000s, putting out albums like 'Na Batida do Coração' in 2006 and 'Caminhos do Coração' in 2009.
In 2003, Leandro was arrested on drug possession charges, which drew media coverage and complicated the duo's clean-cut image. They continued working afterward, but the incident became part of their story.
