Leandro Lobo

Leandro Lobo was born in 1980 in Paracatu, a small town in Minas Gerais. He started playing guitar at twelve, learning on his own after watching his father. By his teens he was already performing at local festivals and working on songs.

His first album came out in 2003, simply called 'Leandro Lobo.' It had 'O Mundo Girou' on it, which became a hit across Brazil. The song connected with people, and it helped establish him in the sertanejo scene.

A few years later, in 2007, he got into a legal fight with his record label. It was public and could have stopped his career, but he kept going and eventually won the case. He's mentioned João Mineiro & Marciano, Chitãozinho & Xororó, and Bruno & Marrone as artists he listened to growing up.
