He started playing guitar at local festivals in Ceará, where he grew up. In the early 2000s, he put together the band that would carry his name. They've put out albums like 'Deixa o Amor Entrar' in 2008 and 'Pra Sempre' in 2015.
There was a copyright issue in 2013 that got some attention, but the music kept going. Another track, 'Noite', is also among his well-known songs. The sound stays rooted in those Brazilian rhythms without trying to be anything grander than that.
