Lefigarro formed in Brazil in 1996. They're known for the song "Lua," which became popular internationally. The band has released five albums between 1997 and 2009, starting with their self-titled debut and including "Eclipse" and "Nação Zumbi."
In 2002, lead singer Toni Platão left the group. The band continued with Walter Villaça on vocals and guitar, along with Márcio Garcia on bass, Alexandre Kassin on keyboards, and Pupillo Oliveira on drums.
Their music draws from pop, rock, and Brazilian rhythms. "Lua" remains their most recognized work.
