Left To The Wolves

Left to the Wolves formed in 2007 around vocalist and guitarist Keiran Roy and drummer Mike Dimkich. They came up in the Pacific Northwest, playing shows and building a following while dealing with the usual lineup changes and money problems that come with being a band. Their sound settled into something atmospheric and guitar-heavy, with songs that stretch out and build slowly.

In 2011 they put out an album called "Bellowing Mountains of Fog and Smoke," which gave them a wider audience. The title track became a calling card, with its layers of guitars and Roy's vocals floating over the top. The record dealt with some heavy themes, which got people talking, but mostly it just connected with listeners who liked their particular blend of mood and melody.

They kept making albums after that, like "The Fight Against Gravity" in 2013 and "Ashes to Rain" in 2018. The core of Roy and Dimkich stayed constant, and they worked with other players like guitarist Nick Moser along the way. Their songs, including "Broken Bones Upon The Altar" and "Paths Of Broken Glass," tend to move at their own pace, creating spaces that feel both expansive and introspective.
