Left to Vanish formed in Los Angeles around 2008, with Drew Fortier on vocals and guitar, Mike Camerin on bass, and Jon Drury on drums. Their sound pulled from grunge and punk, with some electronic touches mixed in. They put out their first album, 'The Awakening,' in 2010.
Their song 'Falling In Love In a Whorehouse' drew criticism from some conservative listeners for its subject matter. The band kept working, releasing 'Ashes and Embers' in 2013 and 'Embrace the Void' in 2016. Drummer Jon Drury died unexpectedly in 2011, and Michael Anderson later joined on drums.
They released another album, 'The Great Divide,' in 2019. Other songs in their catalog include 'Force Of Mortality' and 'Lufthansa Heist.'
