Their debut album 'Esse Noite' came out not long after, and its title track became something of a hit in Brazil. Marquinhos PQD wrote the lyrics for 'Essa Noite,' which seemed to connect with listeners.
They put out a few more records, including 'Ao Vivo em Ipanema' in 2013 and 'Nação Samba' in 2015. The band worked with other Brazilian artists like Ivete Sangalo and Skank along the way. Marquinhos PQD's personal struggles with addiction became public during this period, though the group kept making music.
