L.O.V.E. formed in São Paulo in 2002 with Marcelo Camelo on vocals and guitar, Rodrigo Amarante on vocals and bass, Dado Villa-Lobos on guitar, and Marcelo Jeneci on drums. Their debut album came out in 2004, and they kept at it for over a decade, putting out records like 'A Cabeça de Nós Todos' in 2006 and 'Disco Voador' in 2013.
Songs like 'Ainda Sou o Mesmo Cara' and 'Um Céu Sobre Nós' show their range, from driving rock to more reflective moments. They sometimes worked samba or funk into their sound, but it was always grounded in that four-piece rock setup.
The band went on hiatus in 2015. Since then, Camelo and Amarante have done solo work, while Villa-Lobos and Jeneci have kept playing in various projects.
