Lehakat Cheil Hayam formed in 2001 with members who were serving in the Israeli Navy. The original lineup included Yael Deckelbaum, Guy Munik, and Lior Shalem. Their debut album came out in 2004, featuring the song 'Achrey She'ahtav' which became widely known in Israel.
They released several albums over the following years, including 'Himnus' in 2007, 'Ma'anishi' in 2010, and 'Hodaya' in 2013. Other songs from their catalog include 'Al Gvul Hayam Ha'acharon' and 'Atuf Berachamim'. The band's lineup changed at times, with Deckelbaum and Munik remaining as core members alongside Roei Bekhor on bass and vocals.
They've worked with other Israeli artists like Idan Raichel, Shlomo Artzi, and Aviv Geffen.
