Leidy & Maick

Leidy Mercúrio and Maick Maia met in Salvador, Bahia, and started making music together in 2016. They come from northeastern Brazil, and their songs often draw on forró and sertanejo traditions, though they work them into something more personal and direct.

Their second album, 'De Volta Pro Aconchego,' came out in 2020 and included the song 'Cada Vez Dói Menos.' That track became their most recognizable work, a ballad about heartache that feels less painful over time. Other songs like 'Mesmo Assim' and 'Tá Se Achando' show a similar focus on relationships and everyday feelings, delivered with a plainspoken honesty.

In 2021, they faced some public scrutiny over accusations of plagiarism involving another song, 'Eu Só Queria te Amar.' They handled the situation quietly and kept recording. Their music tends to avoid grand statements, sticking instead to the small, specific moments that make up ordinary life.
