Lemolo

Lemolo is a duo from Vancouver made up of Meagan Grandall and Brian Fennell. They started working together around 2015, putting out an EP called 'Origin' that year. Their sound tends toward atmospheric arrangements that mix folk and electronic elements, with Grandall's vocals often at the center.

Their song 'Beautiful Night' came out in 2020 and became their most recognizable track. It has that layered, dreamlike quality they're known for, with Grandall's voice floating over the instrumentation. Other songs like 'Knives' and 'On Again, Off Again' show a similar approach to mood and texture.

They followed their debut with an album called 'Satellite,' which continued exploring those intimate, sometimes orchestral soundscapes. Grandall has been open about being queer and the importance of representation in her work, though the music itself tends to focus more on personal reflection than overt statements.
